Stepping up to Middle Leadership

The Programme:

This programme aims to develop the leadership styles and skills of new and aspiring middle school leaders. It is designed to support those who would like to progress onto the next stage of leadership. 


What’s involved?

Session One:              You as a Leader & Leadership Styles           

Session Two:              Leading Teams          

Session Three:           Leading Change                     

Session Four:             Emotional Intelligence & Resilience


Who can apply?

You should be a new or aspiring middle leader in a Nursery, Primary, Secondary or Special school. It is aimed at new or aspiring key stage leaders, curriculum area leaders, pastoral service leaders, subject leaders and heads of department.



This programme is facilitated over four full days:



Monday 20th November 2017

9am – 3pm

Friday 8th December 2017

9am – 3pm

Wednesday 31st January 2018

9am – 3pm

Monday 12th March 2018

9am – 3pm



The cost per delegates is £400. This cost includes refreshments, lunch, course materials and accreditation. 


Upon Completion:

This programme is accredited by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM). Upon completion, delegates will receive a certificate and a one year free subscription to ILM’s wealth of online resources.
