Primary Computing: Planning Workshop

A half-day course focusing on planning for Computing in KS1 and KS2 

This course aims to:

  • Develop teachers’ knowledge of the Computing curriculum and supporting programmes
  • Equip teachers with a curriculum framework and lesson plan content to support them in teaching Computing effectively
  • Provide an opportunity for teachers to experiment with different programs, apps and other software

Course Content:

This course will explore the three aspects of the Computing curriculum:

  1. Computer Science
  2. Digital Literacy
  3. Information Technology

Led by Andrew Goodgame, a specialist Computing consultant, the workshop will allow teachers the time to plan units of work for Computing as well as to experiment with the different programmes and software involved in the teaching of those units. The training would be ideal for teachers and subject leaders seeking to create high-quality and accessible units of work for the next academic year.

Participants may bring schemes and resources with them but this is not essential.
