Preparing for Inspection:
An Effective Self-Evaluation Summary
This practical workshop provides delegates with a guided opportunity to use their own data and evidence to sharpen their self-evaluation summary. Delegates will recognise the importance of evidencing the impact of their work to link judgements to the common inspection framework and their school development planning. How to present evidence effectively and deal with the ‘initial conversation’ will also be explored.
At the end of the course, delegates will:
· recognise what constitutes an effective and evaluative SEF
· understand the spiral of school improvement
· be confident to present evidence and be thoroughly prepared for inspection
· be able to articulate clearly the impact of actions taken
